Blag Dahlia of The DwarvesYou haven't released any albums since "How to Win Friends and Influence People," so are you touring to promote anything in particular? Is there a new album?

We're working on the last album The Dwarves Must Die right now. Expect it by next summer and more shows to follow.

The Dwarves started out in Chicago twenty years ago but you then relocated to San Francisco and you're really known as a San Francisco band. Why did you make the move?

We thought it would be warm and the women would be better.

You have a female bass player now. Considering the portrayal of women in some of your songs, did you have any hesitations adding her to the band or did she have any hesitations about joining?

She knows of the genius of the Dwarves and loves us unconditionally. Also, she makes us dinner and cleans up after the shows.

What's the crowd reaction been to her?

When I listened to Mondo Generator's new album ["A Drug Problem That Never Existed"], as soon as I heard "Girl's Like Christ" I knew that was a song you cowrote. You also produced the album. What was working on it like?

It was like watching a speed freak kill himself on my dime.

Do you have a favorite Dwarves song?

They're my babies, I love them all like the bastards that they are.

What are your favorite albums?

Come Clean, Young and Good Looking, Blood Guts.

Name an underrated band you think deserves more attention.

The Dwarves

What have you been listening to recently?

Ludicrous, Beyonce, Barry White

If you could have written any song, what song do you wish you had written and why?

That Matrix tune "So Yesterday"

Anything you want to add?

The Dwarves still rule. Recognize!

Thank you.
