Philly's anarcho-punk troupe Mischief Brew have spent the last 7 years, give or take, touring the US and Europe, appearing on several different independent record label comps, and writing and recording songs for a handful of splits and full-length releases. Now, as a follow-up to their collaborative release, "Fight Dirty," with Brooklyn's instrumental gypsy jazz quartet Guignol, Mischief Brew are preparing to unleash their latest effort titled "The Stone Operation."

"I think my favourite [sic] comparison was someone who once wrote that I was the illegitimate child of a bizarre love triangle featuring Nick Cave, PJ Harvey and Batman. I liked that."
"I was doing lots of shifts in the residential program where I worked. I would bring my guitar to work. I was always jamming with various kids there. In the '90s I had gotten a rock n roll music program started there. The place had gotten several thousand dollars in grants to get the program going, so we bought lots of gear."
