Rocks Off Concert Cruise series will be launching its tenth anniversary afloat when it kicks off its season on the East and Hudson Rivers in April. Proving time and time again to be the best way to experience the NY Harbor, the Rocks Off Concert Cruise has been the home for some of the biggest and most memorable performances from some of the best bands over the last decade. "This was the most extraordinary concert we've done in New York since our first CBGB's show," commented Bad Brains' guitarist Dr. Know about their June 2007 concert. Adds Rocks Off founder/bossman Jake Szufnarowski, "It truly is like no other venue in the world!"

Half a dozen bands have been added to the 14th annual All Good Music Festival taking place July 8-11 in Masontown, WV at Marvin's Mountaintop. Expanding on an already robust and diverse lineup of over 40 bands at the four-night event, the recently added artists include: Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi Band, Dr. Dog, SOJA, and The New Mastersounds.

When a teenage comic book fanboy's obsession takes over his life and he becomes a costumed super-hero named Kick-Ass - with no super-powers whatsoever - the results are the twisted, funny, high-octane adventure movie that opens in US theatres on April 16th. Preceding the movie on March 30th, DGC/Interscope Records, a unit of Universal Music Group, will release the soundtrack album Kick-Ass: Music From The Motion Picture.

After wrapping a handful of successful shows in Florida at the Harvest Of Hope Festival this past weekend, Michigan power-pop trio Cheap Girls kick off a tour with Paper + Plastick Records labelmates The Riot Before (see all dates below). The two-week trek brings the band up the east coast, and west towards Chicago, stopping in Brooklyn, Boston, Cleveland and Madison along the way. In conjunction with the tour, Cheap Girls premiere the new video for the song "Ft. Lauderdale" exclusively at AltPress.com or after the jump.

Brooklyn guitar-anthem optimists Fang Island -- who describe their sound as "everyone high-fiving everyone" -- have been receiving a wealth of high-fives right back. Esteemed website Pitchfork showed ample praise for Fang Island's Sargent House debut album this week, making it a Best New Music pick. Likewise, fan buzz on Twitter and other social networks has been voluminous. Album sales topped charts on both iTunes (Top Alternative Albums) and Amazon (#1 Mover & Shaker Album) this week.

After two million sales and 400 concerts worldwide, Gotan Project return with their third studio album, "Tango 3.0," out April 20 on XL Recordings. Ash have announced the recruitment of Russell Lissack, who will bolster the 3-piece on guitars and keyboards, for their forthcoming UK Tour. Russell - of Bloc Party and solo project Pin Me Down - is a life-long Ash fan, "I've always loved Ash, my first ever stage performance was part of an Ash covers band, so when they asked me to join them on their forthcoming tour I jumped at the chance!"

The Texas Hardcore band Fight Pretty is over. Their last show is this Friday at Walters in Houston, Texas. They made a new album called "Smoke Filled Womb" and is available for download exclusively on the band's website. The phenomenally productive artist Omar Rodriguez Lopez makes his North American directorial debut in April when his feature film, The Sentimental Engine Slayer premieres at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival. The film, which was written and directed by Rodriguez Lopez, will have four screenings during the festival.
