Kuroma is Hank Sullivant. Whether you realize it or not, you know Hank. And you know him well. Back in 2002, he formed Athens dirt-rock disciples The Whigs. Four years later, he'd leave the band to tour extensively with MGMT and record an album of his own. The result, while not yet available anywhere other than the Kuroma merch booth, is an 8-song EP called Paris. It's Sullivant's labor of love, a mish mash of psych-dance, blues-quirk, and reverbed oddities featuring contributions from fellow MGMT cohort James Richardson, Harvey Milk drummer Kyle Spence and a handful of Athens compatriots. This week, Sullivant embarks on a brief stint with MGMT.
