Last.fm's Free Streaming Radio Available On GameSpot's Rock Band 2 Launch Center

Last.fm, the leading free global music platform, today announced the launch of its free streaming radio on GameSpot’s Rock Band 2 video game Launch Center, a special Web page on GameSpot dedicated to all things Rock Band 2. Through this offering, GameSpot, a leading source for trusted gaming information (GameSpot.com), gives Rock Band fans a preview of more than 50 songs that will featured in the video game which releases on September 14th.

The GameSpot Rock Band 2 free streaming radio is available exclusively on GameSpot’s Rock Band 2 Launch Center. After Rock Band 2 launches on September 14th, GameSpot will update the playlist with new songs from Rock Band 2’s weekly downloadable selection. The Rock Band 2 playlist will always be accessible on Last.fm through GameSpot’s account.

Since the July re-launch showcasing a new design and features, Last.fm has experienced a 20 percent increase in unique visitors and a 36 percent increase in total minutes spent on the site, according to the latest comScore Media Metrix report (July 2008, U.S. Data). Additionally, GameSpot posted a 21 percent year over year increase in unique visitors driven by the success of its recent July E3 Business and Media Summit coverage, which drew record traffic and activity including more than 100 million pages viewed and five million videos streamed. Last.fm and GameSpot, both CBS Interactive properties, are leading online brands within the gaming, music and entertainment genres.
