The Hush Sound Hit The Road With OneRepublic

Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen recording group The Hush Sound have announced plans to accompany OneRepublic on their upcoming North American tour, "Tag That Tour!" 2008. The dates will commence on October 23rd at Fairfax, Virginia's George Mason University, and then traverse the continent throughout the fall. Augustana and The Spill Canvas also join the bands on the road. "Medicine Man," a track from the band's latest album "Goodbye Blues," is being featured this month in the season five trailer for "Grey's Anatomy" on ABC. The band will film a video for the song in the upcoming weeks.

The Chicago-based band recently contributed a funked-up new song, entitled "We Believe (In Barack Obama)," to Fall Out Boy's viral smash, "CitizensFOB Mixtap: Welcome To The New Administration." The compilation is available for download now.

"We Believe (In Barack Obama)" was recorded during the Hush Sound's just-concluded tour alongside fellow Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen recording group The Cab. The trek followed the band's well-received stint traveling North America alongside Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen's own Panic At The Disco on the 2008 Honda Civic Tour.

In March, the Hush Sound released their ambitious and inventive third album, "Goodbye Blues," to a coast-to-coast chorus of critical hosannas. "One of the most mature releases in recent Ramen history," declared All Music Guide, praising the Hush Sound's "usual mix of co-ed vocals and jaunty songcraft" while commending the group for its "willingness to experiment."

Blender hailed the band's Greta Salpeter for "(raising) both the blood pressure and the competency of everything she touches, from the stomping ‘Medicine Man' to the bouncy, old-timey ‘Love You Much Better.'"
