Devics' Sara Lov To Release Solo Debut

Most noted as front woman for the critically acclaimed dream pop band Devics, Sara Lov is set to release her solo debut, The Young Eyes EP, on January 20, 2009. The Young Eyes EP marks the singer/songwriter's first release with Nettwerk and promises to unveil a completely unique listening experience.

Teaming with famed producer Zac Rae (Fiona Apple, Annie Lennox, My Brightest Diamond) and mixed by Darrell Thorp (Radiohead, Beck), Lov (no, the "e" isn't missing, and yes, that's her real name) created two sensational releases--The Young Eyes EP and her upcoming full length Seasoned Eyes Were Beaming.

The Young Eyes EP showcases Lov's unmistakably organic vocals while paying homage to two inspiring artists during a gorgeous rendition of Arcade Fire's "My Body Is A Cage" and a playful take on Beck's most recent radio hit "Timebomb."

The EP track listing is as follows:

  1. New York
  2. Timebomb
  3. Seasoned Eyes Were Beaming (Piano Version)
  4. My Body Is A Cage
  5. Why Can't I Be

In conjunction with the January release of The Young Eyes EP, Lov will have a residency every Tuesday in January at Spaceland in Los Angeles. She will be performing the songs from the EP as well as giving fans a sneak peak at her upcoming full length album Seasoned Eyes Were Beaming, out in April.
