A Camp Kick Off First US Tour In Support Of "Colonia"

A Camp will embark on their first ever US tour later this Spring, kicking off things at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on May 26th in support of their highly anticipated US debut Colonia - out this Spring on Nettwerk Records. A Camp features the lovely and talented Nina Persson (The Cardigans front woman and frequent member of the Citizens Band), her husband Nathan Larson (renowned American film composer and member of Shudder to Think), and Niclas Frisk (from the Swedish pop-rock sensation Atomic Swing). The coast to coast trek will have the band visiting prominent venues in 11 US cities including the Middle East in Boston, 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, Bluebird Theater in Denver and The Crocodile in Seattle before performing the final show on tour at the famed Troubadour in LA.

While Colonia is not out in the US until this Spring, its release in the UK and Europe has been met with excitement and high praise. In early January, A Camp performed their single "Stronger than Jesus" (which The Word raved as "full of clout that recalls the voice of Jenny Lewis at it's best, this is the huge brilliant single that Rilo Kiley never made") at the Swedish Grammys complete with a live horn section and gospel choir. The week of its release, Colonia soared to the top of the charts in Sweden to debut at the #2 spot (just behind Bruce Springsteen) and praise poured in from numerous publications including The London Times, Harper's Bazaar, Mojo, OK!, The Metro, and The Telegraph among others, and hasn't slowed down yet. And on top of all that, CNN International featured Nina Persson on the acclaimed series "My City, My Life" in February, following the one they did on Iggy Pop!
