"Gwen and I hadn't planned to produce a Cure tribute at all. We were streaming WOXY one day and on came a Cure song. We both just looked at each other and the light bulbs went off. Two days later we started contacting artists. It all came together very quickly. Much easier than anything we've produced so far," said co-producer Joe Spadaro.

"It's been a fun tribute to produce. There's been so much enthusiasm for this project. The artists, managers and labels were great to work with, and we're really excited about the tracks," said co-producer Gwen Hysler.

American Laundromat Records is an indie label based out of Southeastern, CT. Founded in April of 2004 by Joe Spadaro the label is best known for their popular 2005 compilation "High School Reunion - a tribute to those great '80s films" which features indie-rockers Frank Black, Kristin Hersh, Matthew Sweet, The Dresden Dolls and others covering beloved tunes from some of the 80's most popular teen films. All Music Guide called the tribute “One of the finest tributes ever amassed!” Other American Laundromat projects include the critically acclaimed double-CD "Cinnamon Girl - Women Artists Cover Neil Young For Charity" which featured artists Tanya Donelly, Britta Phillips, Lori McKenna, Jill Sobule, Josie Cotton, Kristin Hersh, The Watson Twins, Veruca Salt, and others covering Neil Young's most popular songs. The project has raised over $22,000.00 to-date for "Casting For Recovery" (a breast cancer charity) and continues to be American Laundromat Records best selling record.
