An Evening With Jack Lukeman, Jon DeRosa Announced For NYC In January

Jack Lukeman is one of Ireland's most respected and best loved performers. Described as 'a mixture of all the great voices of the 20th century' (The Guardian), few can match his award-winning baritone and unique live shows. Now Lukeman will bring his new show, The 27 Club, to New York City as he has announced he's set to perform on January 13th at the Mercury Lounge with Brooklyn's Jon DeRosa to support.

Jack first came to prominence with his interpretation of the works of Belgian songwriter Jacques Brel. Jack has the honour of being the only ever artist to perform in Glastonbury for 3 consecutive nights and has performed the work of Jerome Kern in New York with the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra, beneath the largest firework display in history. Jack has been a winner of The Spotlight Award for best music at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Last year saw the first broadcasts of 'High Fidelity,' Lyric FM's mammoth 26-part radio series on the history of recorded song, with Jack co-presenting the program.  After being appointed ambassador for the Irish charity Console, Jack represented Console at New York's St Patrick's Day Parade. After performing in New York, Jack was invited to sing with the Nelson Riddle orchestra in New York's Lincoln Centre. His new show 'Jack Lukeman's 27 Club' received 5 star reviews at the Scottish  Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August.

With his soaring baritone, Jack croons and belts out songs by made famous by artists who met an early demise at 27 years of age. This multi-platinum selling vocalist Jack Lukeman puts a unique spin on songs by The Doors, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Robert Johnson, the Rolling Stones, Echo & the Bunnymen, Jimi Hendrix & Nirvana.

On Sunday, January 13th, Jack backed by drums, keys, bass plus 3 piece brass & string quartet will bring The 27 Club back to life And take the sage at 7:30PM at The Mercury Lounge Supporting will be Brooklyn’s Jon DeRosa at 6:30PM alled by Flipside “a post-Punk Frank Sinatra” is currently touring behind his critically acclaimed record “A Wolf in Preachers Clothes” Produced by Charles Newman (Magnetic Fields.)
