Brazilian newest indie sensation Copacabana Club have announced dates of their US tour in support of their first worldwide release, the single "Just Do It." The single, released by Bulldozer/3 Plus, will be distributed by PIAS, one of the largest independent worldwide distribution companies. A five-piece from Southern Brazil, Copacabana Club have been together for two years. In that time have made not so much of a "splash," as what can only be perceived as the beginnings of a tidal wave permeating outwards Brazil.
Following on from very early performances while the band was still finding its feet, Folha de S. Paulo, Brazil's biggest newspaper, gave them rave reviews, and Copacabana Club were instantly elevated to front cover status.
That much exposure propelled the fivesome into the limelight and to a string of high profile performances. Along came a lucrative and mutually beneficial use of the track "Just Do It" by Levi's Music for a sponsorship deal, which included the production of a video - hugely commented on both Brazilian and international press.
Rap star Kanye West himself posted and praised "Just Do It" video on his website. Later, the five-piece were nominated to MTV Brazilian Awards. With almost 400,000 views on Youtube, Copacabana Club have reached numbers that only few independent bands have before.
