Cursive Announce Fall Tour With Minus The Bear, Summer Headlining Shows, Dates With Brand New

Omaha, NE's Cursive has announced a lengthy tour in support of Minus The Bear this fall. The tour will launch on September 13th at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis, MN and wrap up on November 17th at the Showbox in Seattle, WA, and includes a New York show at Best Buy Theater on September 29th and a Los Angeles show at Club Nokia at LA Live on November 9th.

After playing a handful of headlining shows in the Midwest, which include a stop at the Wicker Park Festival in Chicago, IL, Cursive will first head out on the road in Canada in support of Brand New in early August. The band is also confirmed to perform over the next few months at the Osheaga Music & Arts Festival in Montreal, QUE on August 4th; the House Of Vans in Brooklyn, NY on August 16th (RSVP info below); the FYF Fest in Los Angeles, CA on September 2nd; and the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, TX on November 2nd. A current itinerary is below.

Released February 21st and praised by Alternative Press, Big Takeover, Filter, Magnet, Relix, Revolver, and Vice, among others, the Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Minus The Bear, Isis)-produced I Am Gemini is the surreal and powerful musical tale of Cassius and Pollock, twin brothers separated at birth.  One good and one evil, their unexpected reunion in a house that is not a home ignites a classic struggle for the soul, played out with a cast of supporting characters that includes a chorus of angels and devils, and twin sisters conjoined at the head. Videos for album tracks "Drunken Birds" (directed by Tony Bonacci) and "This House Alive" (directed by Kevin Slack) can be seen here and here, respectively, while embeddable widgets for free MP3 downloads of album tracks "The Sun and Moon" and "Wowowow" can be found via the Saddle Creek webstore.
