Fans anxious to hear new music from The Dear Hunter should head to the band’s Myspace page. “In Cauda Venenum,” streaming now through the album release, is from their forthcoming album, "Act III: Life And Death," which is due out June 23nd on Triple Crown Records. The third chapter of the band’s epic rock opera chronicles the latest endeavors of “the boy,” now a man, looking (and finding) love, loss and reinvention.
"Act III: Life And Death" was produced by singer/pianist/guitarist/lyricist/multi-instrumentalist Casey Crescenzo. With engineering duties behind the boards shared with guitarist Andy Wildrick, this opus was conceived, hashed out, and recorded entirely in the band's studio in Providence, Rhode Island. Having undergone several lineup changes in the past, the band finally cemented its roster during the previous touring cycle, finding permanent and dedicated members in Erick Serna (guitar), Nick Crescenzo (drums), and Nate Patterson (bass). The band pulled out every stop when it came to instrumentation, bringing in musicians to contribute live strings, woodwinds, horns, and even harps.
