As Frightened Rabbit gets ready to cross the Atlantic for a series of summer shows and festival dates this summer, the Glaswegians have already made plans to return in the fall. The foursome will team up with friends and countrymen, The Twilight Sad and We Were Promised Jetpacks for a raucous Scottish invasion of the States. The band will headline the anthemic rock-filled jaunt, which kicks off in Salt Lake City on September 14th, following their appearance at the Monolith Festival in Colorado, alongside Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Girl Talk and the Walkmen.
Frightened Rabbit have been holed up in East Lothian, Scotland where they have been writing, recording and self-producing the follow up to their highly lauded sophomore LP, "The Midnight Organ Fight." The lads plan to reveal some of their new creations on their forthcoming tour and lead Rabbit, Scott Hutchison recently debuted a work in progress titled, "Swim Until You Can't See Land," for the website, Off The Beaten Tracks. The emotionally charged, acoustic ditty, was captured in a Scottish garden, where he also performed the live favorite, a cover of Neutral Milk Hotel's "Song Against Sex," as well as "Be Less Rude" from the band's first album. Check out the entire OffTheBeatenTracks.tv session.
