Goldspot and KCRW have had a longstanding love affair since the band's beginnings and the mutual adoration continues: frontman Siddhartha Khosla and co. will return to Los Angeles for a live performance on the flagship music show, "Morning Becomes Eclectic," on Tuesday, February 23, to celebrate sophomore release, And The Elephant Is Dancing. The station recently featured their song "Call Center Girl" as part of their "Today's Top Tune" offering, spinning the track in heavy rotation and offering it as a free download.
Goldspot's performance on the trendsetting program will be coupled with a gig presented by KCRW at the Hotel Café on February 24. The band will warm up with a hometown NYC show at Joe's Pub on February 19.
With co-production from Beach Boys engineer Jeff Peters, Goldspot's creation perfectly marries the sounds of West Coast pop with Bollywood resulting in what The Express-Times described as "blissful indie pop." Early reviews of the full-length have been glowing with LAMusicBlog.com exclaiming: "The bittersweet love songs on Siddhartha Khosla's sophomore release are so buoyant and bright they practically radiate. If you're experiencing anything less than the clear skies and sunshine... this album is guaranteed to bring a little summertime to your day."
