Hot Hot Heat Announce LA Residency

Since their 2002 breakthrough album, "Make Up The Breakdown," Vancouver's Hot Hot Heat have released a steady stream of infectious and danceable singles, armed with a seemingly endless supply of memorable hooks. But when the band began work on its fifth album, they decided that a new batch of striking melodies and grooves would only be the tip of the iceberg. The guys placed an emphasis on crafting songs that added something different to their celebrated sound. The end result is the band's most forward-thinking album yet, appropriately titled "Future Breeds" - out June 8th on Dangerbird Records (Silversun Pickups, Minus The Bear, The Dears).

If you live in New York or LA, you're in luck as the band will be previewing the new material (and playing the older fan favorites) during residencies in both cities. You can catch them at Brooklyn's Public Assembly every Wednesday during the month of May, and at LA's Bootleg Theater every Wednesday of June.

Fans who don't live near either city are still in luck. An alternative version of the album's first single, "21@12" is available at www.dangerbirdrecords.com/hothotheat.
