Invisible DJ, LnA Introduce Wearable Music

Invisible DJ has teamed up with fashion designer LnA to create The Music Tee, a T-shirt that is creatively designed to contain “album art” on the front, and a track list on the back. Each shirt will come with a hang tag printed with a URL and a unique code; each code will allow the owner of the shirt to download one copy of each of the tracks printed on the shirt from a newly created Music Tee Room on LnA’s website.

The Music Tee went on sale Tuesday, May 26th at Ron Herman and Lnaclothing.com retailing at $60 and will become available nationwide at major department stores and boutiques this summer.

Track listing:

  • Magic Arm – “Widths and Heights”
  • The Asteroids Galaxy Tour – “Around the Bend”
  • Lettie – “What You Get”
  • Passenger – “Things You’ve Never Done”
  • Holmes – “Wake Up”
  • WAZ – “Out of Place
  • Amy Kuney – “Simple Things”
  • Charlie Mars – “Listen to the Dark Side”
  • Alice Russell – “Turn and Run”
  • Theresa Andersson – “Hi-Low”
  • The Silent Years – “On Our Way Home”

Founded in the summer of 2007 by Southern California natives Lauren Alexander and April Leight, LnA borrows concepts from men's Tee shirts and combined them with super soft cotton and vibrant colors to create a basics line with an edge. In the summer of 2008 LNA teamed with Nylon for “The Nylon Summer Music Tour,” producing shirts, leggings and tote bags featuring the bands She Wants Revenge, The Switches and The Virgins. More recently LNA shot their Fall 2009 look book featuring The Delta Fiasco, a band from Liverpool. The collection was inspired by the personal style of the band, and features oversized exposed zippers, super soft hoodies with epaulets and big button details. Drawing inspiration from music and bands from around the world Alexander and Leight continue to expand and develop their idea of the perfect wardrobe staples.

Invisible DJ was built from the floor of Ron Herman's flagship store on Melrose in Los Angeles with the idea that all things are possible. Invisible DJ's avant-garde approach to business effectively merges fashion and music, with an eye towards introducing new, up-and-coming talent while at the same time creating unique programs and platforms for music to be discovered. The brand has worked with a talent roster that includes innovative, eclectic and diverse artists from all around the world, including Santigold, Chester French, Kid Sister, Uh Huh Her, Novalima, Bitter:Sweet and many other artists. Invisible DJ's most recent projects include Dirty English for Juicy Couture, Ron Herman After Dark, and the design of the limited edition Beats by Dre Headphones. Their creations have been featured in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Flaunt, LA Times and many other media outlets.
