Bend, Oregon's Larry and His Flask have always been anything but conventional. From their transition into their current bluegrass-punk hybrid to their wildly entertaining stage show to their tours which have taken them everywhere from Hawaii to the Yukon Territory to Europe, the band's strong do-it-yourself ethos and unorthodox approach to music have again combined to launch their latest endeavor.
Larry and His Flask have announced the "Fill the Flask" Campaign, a fundraiser project for their upcoming full-length which is currently being recorded at Rancho Recordo in Fenton, Michigan. Different from a traditional Kickstarter campaign, the band has launched the fundraising initiative via their own website which enables them to provide real-time updates from the studio as they record the new full-length simultaneous to it being funded by fans and supporters. Alongside the initiation of "Fill the Flask", the band also introduces their own newly formed label, Cascadian Records. The full-length that they are currently recording will be their first release with many more exciting plans in the works.
Larry and His Flask's most recent release, 2012's Hobo's Lament EP on Paper + Plastick Records was praised everywhere from Rolling Stone to Sirius XM's The Loft (which even gave the band their own featured month on the station) to Relix and American Songwriter magazines. The band has also received critical acclaim from places such as the New York Times, Time Out Chicago, and Brooklyn Vegan.
Larry and His Flask is Jamin Marshall (drums, vocals), Jesse Marshall (bass), Ian Cook (vocals, guitar), Dallin Bulkley (guitar), Kirk Skatvold (mandolin) and Andrew Carew (banjo).
