Make Do And Mend Announce First European Tour

Melodic punk rockers Make Do And Mend have announced their first European tour, which will take the band through the UK, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Italy in just two weeks, beginning January 1st. Directly supporting The Sleeping, Make Do And Mend will be playing a handful of songs of their critically lauded debut full-length, "End Measured Mile," available now via Panic/Paper + Plastick Records.

With plans to tour Europe months in the making, Make Do And Mend vocalist/guitarist James Carroll alluded to an overseas tour on the song "Keep This," screaming "It's so hard to believe that by December we'll see Europe /while my friends at home are decorating trees." Only a month off, he says "This January we will be heading over to the U.K. and Europe for our first ever European tour with The Sleeping from Long Island, and we are all honored to be afforded this opportunity. We're extremely excited to play over-seas for the first time!"

The follow up to their well-received EPs "We're All Just Living" and "Bodies Of Water," "End Measured Mile" finds Make Do And Mend building on their gruff brand of punk rock, blending passion and intensity with melody and sincerity. Heralded as one of the best punk records of the year, "End Measured Mile" has been racking in critical praise, with Alternative Press commenting "Frontman James Carroll, bearing a gruff bark... guides the band through catchy, texturally dynamic romps," while the band's hometown paper the Hartford Courant says the album "is a collection of volatile songs stuffed full of serrated power chords, battering ram drums and leathery bellowing from singer James Carroll... The mood on 'End Measured Mile' rarely feels less than life-or-death intense... At just shy of 34 minutes, 'End Measured Mile' is a relatively brief album, but it's long and forceful enough to leave you feeling wrung out by the end."

A band that has earned a solid following through rigorous touring and an honest approach to their music and fans, Punknews sums it up best: "[End Measured Mile] will surely serve as Make Do And Mend's coming-out party for those unfamiliar with the band, and sheer confirmation for those of us who knew they were something special all along."

Make Do And Mend is James Carroll (vocals/guitar), Mike Poulin (bass), Matt Carroll (drums), and Mike O'Toole (guitar).
