Marching Band In The Studio Working On New Album

Sweden's Marching Band is currently in the studio with producer Jari Haapalainen (Ed Harcourt, Camera Obscura, The Concretes) working on a new album due out in the Spring of 2010 on U & L Records. The new album will be the follow up to the band's debut "Spark Large" - recorded with Adam Lasus indie rock producer for artists such as Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, Army Navy, & Yo La Tengo. Originally released in August 2008, "Spark Large" is currently being featured on iTunes due to songs from the album being used in Zombieland and Scrubs.

Marching Band is an indie-pop duo consisting of Jacob Lind and Erik Sunbring who hail from Linköping, Sweden. Their debut release caught the attention of US tastemakers such as Pitchfork, NPR's World Café and Second Stage, Rolling Stone's Hype Monitor and Billboard's Underground. The album also landed them a session on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic and found the band getting played on KEXP and INDIE 103.1.

On top of all this, Marching Band's music has been featured in a number of noteworthy Films including Zombieland (Sony Picture Entertainment), Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist (Sony Pictures) and TV shows including 90210 (CW), How I Met Your Mother (CBS) Scrubs (ABC) and Greek (ABC). In addition, they already have a number of songs placed in various films for 2010 including Beastly starring Neil Patrick Harris, Vanessa Hudgens, and Mary-Kate Olsen.
