Michael Zapruder To Play At House Of Blues Sunset Strip Parish

Michael Zapruder is promoting an upcoming release, Dragon Chinese Cocktail Horoscope (Sidecho Records, 2009). Michael Zapruder will make an appearance in the Parish at House of Blues Sunset Strip on Friday, February 20, for an intimate concert performance. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. The venue is located at 8430 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069.

Dragon Chinese Cocktail Horoscope, the new record by Michael Zapruder, is an album of contrasts and oddities that moves with easy dreamlike logic from the everyday to the every night, presenting opposites without attempting to resolve them. In the process, it offers a glimpse of wildness at the core of humanism. The record's street date is March 24. Zapruder will be touring with Tim Williams will be on the west and east coasts in late February.

Born in Washington, DC, Michael Zapruder is a musician and songwriter. The artist is the music curator for Pandora and the brother of American poet Matthew Zapruder. Since 2002, Zapruder has released three records. One of his most notable collection of works is the 1999 52 Songs project, in which he wrote, recorded, and posted a song each week for a year. Dragon Chinese Cocktail Horoscope is Zapruder's debut release on Sidecho Records.

Special guests will include indie/alternative/acoustic artist, Tim Williams; an acoustic performance from pop/rock band, Adam's Attic; and a solo acoustic performance from Speed of Life front man, John Zay. Performances are scheduled as follows:
