Midnight Masses Release Team Love Debut, Announce February Residency Dates

Midnight Masses has announced a spate of early 2010 shows in their native NYC. In late January, Midnight Masses will reunite with Peter Hale, longtime collaborator and drummer for Here We Go Magic, at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Then, on every Wednesday in February, Masses will be performing at Union Pool in Brooklyn along with an assemblage of special guests to be announced in the coming weeks and months.

Earlier this week, their digital release of "Rapture Ready I Gazed At The Body," the debut short-player from Brooklyn's Midnight Masses, was released. Released in partnership between Collect Records and Team Love, the EP features an assembly of tawny indie-soul and woozy, '60s-inspired pop music. For those looking to get their hands on something extra special, the iTunes version of the EP features an exclusive bonus track - like the whole of Rapture, recorded by Gerard Smith and David Tolomei- called "Invocation Song." Meanwhile, while the vinyl version of the album isn't officially out until next week, the Team Love store is shipping out copies immediately to anyone who pre-orders the record.
