For the past ten years My Education has combined screaming feedback-laden guitars, swirling melodic viola and a thundering rhythm section with tinges of bells, strings and horns. The band spent most of 2009 working on the follow-up to their previous LP, "Bad Vibrations." Tucked away into the studio, they have captured a calamitous but oddly, compelling tension that builds up to an ecstasy inducing release in the latest opus, "Sunrise," to be released in late April 2010 on Strange Attractors Audio House (USA/Canada).
The new album Sunrise is comprised of pieces from the band's original score for F.W. Murnau's 1927 silent masterpiece "Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans" and finds My Education pushing themselves to transcendent heights and flexing their compositional muscles at peak form. This original score was perfected with live film scoring performance over the last two years with sold out shows from coast-to-coast throughout the USA. As a sneak peak of the album, the band is releasing preview of the track "Oars" available for download and to distribute.
