Nada Surf New Music Video, December Tour Dates

Nada Surf are finishing an excellent 2012 by releasing the music video for the song "Jules and Jim," from their critically acclaimed album The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy (Barsuk, 2012). The film was directed, animated and edited by Rachel Chaiya Blumberg. Filmed over the span of several months on location in Arch Cape, OR, and in Providence, RI, it gently alludes to the classic French new wave film of the same name. Following their latest leg of European tour dates, this December Nada Surf will close out the year with a string of gigs across the mid-west and east coast, including a pair of home town shows in NYC at Bowery Ballroom.

The song "Jules and Jim" is drawn from the Brooklyn, NY band's seventh studio album, The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy. Since its release earlier this year, the record has received rave reviews everywhere. "Nada Surf have always had an ace in Matthew Caws' voice," wrote Filter, while the Boston Globe was won over by what they described as the album's "non stop joy." NPR for their part hailed the album as "tremendous -- full of big, blooming rock that practically glows with generosity." On the heals of the album's success the band have spent the year touring the world, from Australia to Europe, to South America and North America, and back again, playing to an increasingly global fan base build up over the band's nearly 20 years of existence.
