Nico Vega Head For SXSW

Fresh off a blistering appearance on Last Call With Carson Daily and a win on MTVu's Freshman video contest, Nico Vega rolls into SXSW's conference with the momentum of a steam engine. After winning MTVus' Freshman video contest last Friday for the video, "Burn Burn," off its self titled debut album Nico Vega made its national television debut on the outdoor stage at Last Call with Carson Daily on March 13th performing the song "Gravity." The band's sheer power was so impressive that they will be back on the show on March 26th performing "Beast."

The band who the NY Post compared as a cross between Janis Joplin and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's will be playing 3 shows at the venerable SXSW Conference in Austin this coming week.

Following their shows the band will show their diversity by playing an acoustic set which will air on DirecTV on Saturday, March 21.
