Paolo Nutini Pays Homage To New Orleans’ Historic Preservation Hall With New Live EP

posted February 27, 2010

The four-track EP, titled "Paolo Nutini - Recorded Live at Preservation Hall," features renditions of songs originally found on the Scottish-born troubadour's acclaimed second album, "Sunny Side Up" and will be available digitally on March 2. A very special Limited Edition of the EP will be made available for physical release on April 17th in honor of "Record Store Day," the annual celebration of the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the USA, and hundreds of similar stores internationally.

Nutini is currently getting set for a series of European dates, including two sold-out shows at London's famed Royal Albert Hall and then a major May/June tour alongside Pink.

"Sunny Side Up" - a Brit Award nominee for "Album of the Year" - was the UK's third biggest selling album of 2009 making Nutini the biggest selling male artist of 2009, with sales earning 3x-platinum certification.

"Sunny Side Up" debuted at #1 in the UK upon its release last June and then returned to the top of the charts in January, making it the country's first #1 of 2010 and the biggest selling album of the new decade thus far. This achievement marks the third time that "Sunny Side Up" has reached #1.
