Philadelphia Grand Jury Make Quick US Stop Before International Dates

After releasing “The Good News” 7-inch vinyl in the UK earlier this year through the hip Beggar’s singles club Too Pure to great applaud, it’s now the most successful radio airplay single ever released by the label, receiving support from BBC Radio’s Steve Lamacq & Huw Stephens, and XFM’s John Kennedy. Philadelphia Grand Jury is set to continue this theme with the UK release of ‘Going To The Casino (Tomorrow Night)’ on Communion Records in the UK – run by Ben Lovett of Mumford and Sons and Kevin Jones of Cherbourg.

"When I saw Philadelphia Grand Jury live they blew me away. I've never seen so much energy concentrated into a performance before on top of exceptionally well crafted songs- it was a no brainer for Communion!" says Kevin Jones from Communion Records.

The single will be available on 7-inch limited black vinyl and as a digital download on August 23rd in the UK and from the band’s website.

The band’s been based in London since this past April where they have set up their own studio and are currently recording tracks for an upcoming Australian single. Singer/guitarist/producer Berkfinger (who has also worked on records for The Temper Trap, Art vs. Science, Architecture In Helsinki and Wolfmother) shipped the recording gear that the band used to make the Hope Is For Hopers LP and have set up at the Atomic Studio space in South London where he’ll work on local UK acts in addition.

Known for their explosive live show Philadelphia Grand Jury are, according to Drum Media, a "must see before you die" and Drowned In Sound stated the band “play like they are having the time of their lives”. The ‘Going To The Casino’ UK 7-inch release will be supported by a small run of dates across the US, they lengthy tours in Australia and South Africa, before the band head back to the UK for a thirty date run of shows from August to October.

The first string of shows will bring the band back to the US soil for a special appearance.
