Protest The Hero Release Tab Book, Entering The Studio

Guitarists Luke Hoskin and Tim Millar from revered Canadian metal band, Protest The Hero, recently created a guitar tab book for their 2008 chart-topping album "Fortress" and have now completed another for their 2006 debut album, "Kezia." The spiral bound book includes transcriptions for each of the ten songs on "Kezia" and an introduction - all written exclusively by the band members.

The guitarists commented, "Better late than never! If you liked playing along with the 'Fortress' guitar book, you will find this just as challenging...maybe even more so since we suffered higher attention deficit issues back then."

The band is currently selling the books through their own tab book publishing company: http://www.sheethappenspublishing.com. The band is also giving away a brand new Ibanez S guitar along with other prizes.

Protest The Hero will begin recording their third full-length at the end of August. The band will once again be working with producer Julius "Juice" Butty at both Jukasa Studios and Silo Recording Studioand the record will be mixed by producer/engineer Machine for an expected early 2011 release.

Protest The Hero's second full-length, "Fortress," was released in January 2008 and debuted in the Billboard Top 200 and entered the same charts in Canada at #1. Fortresswas one of the most favorably reviewed heavy records of 2008 and received a Juno nomination in 2009 for Best Rock Record. Protest The Hero has earned the title of "Muse for metalheads" from Revolver, who graded the album 4.5/5, in addition to scores of 4/5 stars from Alternative Press and 8/10 from Decibel. Guitar World said, "On their latest, 'Fortress' (Vagrant), Protest rein in their histrionic lead runs and syncopated rhythm-guitar lines, resulting in a more taut sound."

Protest The Hero is vocalist Rody Walker, bassist /vocalist/lyricist Arif Mirabdolbaghi, vocalist/guitarist Tim Millar, guitarist Luke Hoskin, and drummer Moe Carlson.
