  • Seattle Goth punks Aiden will be filming and recording their January 13th show in Chicago and releasing the performance as a low priced ($9.99) CD/DVD on March 16th. Featured on the covers of Metal Edge, Metal Hammer, Kerrang!, and Alternative Press, Aiden is currently touring with Anti-Flag.
  • DJ Spooky has written the foreword for the new book "Toy Instruments: Design, Nostalgia, Music" by Eric Schneider (the king of toy instrument collections). The book, which will be released in mid-February, pulls together a collection of musical toys from 1950s to today.
  • Dying Fetus has premiered the second music video from their new album "Descend Into Depravity," for album opener "Your Treachery Will Die With You," online now via MySpace Metal. The video was lensed in New York with director Kevin Custer (Hatebreed, Testament, Soulja Boy, Kingdom of Sorrow). Dying Fetus previously worked with Custer on the "Shepherd's Commandment" video.
  • Rock band Harper Blynn, formerly known as Pete and J, will takeover XPN's All About the Music Blog this week.
  • Finnish rockers HIM have just released a new video for "Heartkiller," the first single off their upcoming album "Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice." The new album, which was produced by Matt Squire (The Used, Saosin, All Time Low), will be the HIM's seventh full length record over their 13 year career.
  • Sony Denmark artist Kashmir is set to release their second EP, "The No Balance EP," digitally in the United States on February 16, 2010.
  • Check out Lay Low's new video for "Little by Little." Lay Low's debut US album "Farwell Good Night's Sleep" is due out March 9th and Lay Low, aka Lovisa Elisabet Sigrunardottir, will tour the US extensively in 2010.
