Quick Hits & Clips: Buzzov*en, Dillinger Escape Plan, Fang Island, Solo Bob, Therefore I Am

posted December 10, 2009

  • Buzzov*en will see the release of five previously unreleased tracks this coming January 5th in North America as "Violence >From The Vault." These unearthed tracks were recorded in 1995 with the original Sore line-up and would prove to be the last recordings with that line-up.
  • The two latest track names to be announced off The Dillinger Escape Plan's upcoming "Option Paralysis" will be "Gold Teeth On A Bum" and "Crystal Morning."
  • Pitchfork has premiered the new Fang Island video, directed by Carlos Charlie Perez (Li'l Wayne, Vampire Weekend.) The clip for the song "Daisy" is culled from the band's forthcoming Sargent House album and is a single-take shoot featuring fake presidents and gym geeks in what might best be called surrealist choreography.
  • Rooney's Robert Schwartzman has a new project called Solo Bob. Because he loves "the colorful, energetic, electric, infectious, neonic, bubonic side of music," he's releasing videos along with each song (figure one new song & video every three weeks). The first song, "The Victim," along with the video is now online via his official homepage. The video was directed by his cousin Roman.
  • Check out the premiere of Therefore I Am's video for "I Am Only An Island" now at ShockHound.com. Directed by Rob Soucy (A Loss For Words, Energy), the video was shot near the band's hometown of Boston with 100 of their closest friends and biggest fans.
