  • The music video for Death Cab for Cutie's "Meet Me On the Equinox," from The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack, will premiere Wednesday, October 7th at 8pm (all time zones) on MTV and will be posted on MTV.com following the on-air premiere. The video was shot with director Walter Robot, who also directed the band's "Grapevine Fires" music video.
  • A Storm Of Light have postponed their NYC record release show. Originally slated for Monday, October 12th at the Ace Of Clubs, the show has been officially rescheduled for Wednesday, November 18th at Ace of Clubs. Admission is free.
  • Sub Pop have signed Retribution Gospel Choir. The group features Alan Sparhawk on guitar and vocals, Steve Garrington on bass and Eric Pollard on drums and vocals. Sparhawk also fronts the band Low with his wife, Mimi Parker, and Garrington also plays bass in Low. Retribution Gospel Choir will release their second full-length, the band’s Sub Pop debut, "2," on January 26, 2010. An extensive North American tour is in the works for Retribution Gospel Choir beginning in late January, preceded by some shows and festivals in the UK and Spain in December. A New York appearance at The Mercury Lounge is scheduled for December 15th.
  • Check out the video for "Breakdown," a new collaboration between Black Gold, Eric Ronick (Panic at the Disco, Ambulance Ltd.) and Than Luu (M. Ward, Rachel Yamagata).
  • Swedish Black metal tyrants Watain are breaking their silence as they work on what is to become the band's fourth full-length album. The band states: "We can now reveal the long awaited first live performance to break the silence. Watain will return to the stage at the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore, Maryland on the 28th of May 2010, alongside legends such as Autopsy, Pentagram and Possessed. This will be the first performance done in relation to the new Watain album, to be released worldwide only weeks after the show through Season of Mist."
