  • To celebrate Audio Blood's first birthday, they've teamed up with Third Estate Merchandise to present the second annual Jingle Bell Rock featuring Oh No Forest Fires, Make Your Exit, Clothes Make the Man, and The Balconies. The show is at the Horseshoe Tavern (368 Queen St. W, Toronto) on December 12th. Cover is $7. Doors 9pm.
  • Vandaveer filmed a new video for "A Mighty Leviathan" while they were in France last month. Directed by Pierre Dejon, the video was filmed in one shot.
  • Detroit's The Recital are calling it quits. On December 4th, the band will play their last show on the 10th anniversary of their first show. To commemorate their demise, the band recorded six songs and assembled them together into a final EP (titled "The Succulent Leftovers" EP). The songs are available for free download on their website.
  • Ohio based band The Sun have released "Don't Let Your Baby Have All The Fun" as a free digital download via RockProper.com. This ten song LP is the first release from this band since their 2005 release on Warner Bros. It was produced by Mike McCarthy who is responsible for everything Spoon has done since their 2001 "Girls Can Tell."
  • Mike IX Williams, vocalist for Eyehategod, Outlaw Order, Arson Anthem and author of Cancer As A Social Activity: Affirmations Of World's End delivers anti-social misanthropic spoken word and power electronics on this newly released, limited edition 7" via Chrome Peeler. Side Zero features "That's What The Obituary Said," a spoken prose piece with ambient backing by Ryan (The Guilt Of...) McKern. The other Side Zero features "Ten Suicides," originally a Bloodyminded track with vocals by Mike IX Williams and now newly re-mixed by Mark Solotroff (Intrinsic Action/Bloodyminded). Original artwork by Mike IX presented in an 11" x 17" poster and lyric booklet. Black with yellow splatter colored vinyl. Limited to 500 copies.
