  • Relapse Records has announced the signing of tech savvy grind specialists Maruta. Maruta will begin recording their next full length with Scott Hull of Pig Destroyer / Agoraphobic Nosebleed at Visceral Sound Studios in Bethesda, MD early next year. This collaboration marks the first time that Scott Hull has agreed to record a band that is not his own, and certainly lays the groundwork for an ear shattering Relapse debut.
  • CMJ has premiered the official director’s cut of the latest music video from San Francisco’s Happy Fangs. Originally made in less than 48 hours, the video for “Lion Inside You” won the “Best On-Screen Performance” award at this year’s Music Video Race. The video captures the art punk duo’s ferocious presence, a raw attitude that reflects the sound heard on their upcoming self-titled debut, to be released on October 1st. In addition, CMJ is also offering “Lion Inside You” as a free audio download.
  • London band have released a video for their debut single "Time."
  • Critically-acclaimed death metal pioneers Gorguts are streaming their new record, 'Colored Sands,' at Revolver Magazine.
