- Clutch debuted their video for "50,000 Unstoppable Watts" this weekend on Headbanger's Ball. Check out the video now.
- Owl City has announced that "Fireflies," has been chosen as the iTunes Single of the Week and will be exclusively available as a free download beginning Tuesday, July 14th. The highly coveted iTunes feature is the first to reveal a new song from the much anticipated and long awaited physical release debut Ocean Eyes. Originally slated for a September 1st release on Universal Republic, the iTunes feature coupled with overwhelming demand pushed the physical release date up to July 28th and the digital to July 14th.
- Heavy Artillery has announced a partnership with Cruz Del Sur Music to release "The Spider Queen," the highly anticipated new album from Texas metal powerhouse Ignitor. "The Spider Queen" will be released by Heavy Artillery in the US and Canada on September 22nd while Cruz Del Sur Music will be releasing the album for Europe and the rest of the world on September 14th.
- The Independent Music Awards (IMAs) have announced that the celebrated husband and wife songwriting team of Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan; Fall Out Boy bassist and Decaydance Records founder Pete Wentz; Grammy-winning country artist, Ricky Skaggs and MTV Music Supervisor, Carrie Hughes will join the previously announced stellar list of influential artists and industry vets who will help determine the winners of The 9th annual IMAs, currently accepting submissions.
- In celebration of the release of their debut record, "Horehound," on July 14th, Jack White's new band The Dead Weather, will take over the WOXY airwaves for an exclusive day-of-release DJ set. Kicking off at 1pm, tune in as fellow bandmates Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Dean Fertita (QOTSA) and Cincinnati hometown boy, Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs) join in the festivities. The show will also repeat Saturday, July 18th from 4-6PM.
