  • Filter has launched a new digital publication called Filter Unbound, an entirely original online platform. The first issue of Filter Unbound will be available on www.FILTERmagazine.com beginning August 17th and feature an exclusive retrospective on Depeche Mode, containing a complete discography with commentary from the band and producers, an in-depth conversation between Depeche Mode and Röyksopp, audio and video bonus features and much, much more.
  • The MySpace Transmission Sessions is featuring a performance by Eels leader Mark Oliver Everett aka E. Watch footage of E being interviewed and performing 5 songs, and download the audio for all 5 songs free for a limited time right now.
  • Shilpa Ray and Her Happy Hookers will release their debut record, "A Fish Hook An Open Eye," with Kepler Records on September 22, 2009.
  • MySpace Music is exclusively debuting a 10-minute documentary on the making of Pearl Jam's new record, "Backspacer," out September 20th. The "Backspacer Short" was directed by famed photographer/videographer Danny Clinch and produced by Three on the Tree. The video uncovers two new songs through live performance cuts as well as the band's current single, "The Fixer," which MySpace Music premiered on July 20th.
  • Evile, Sylosis, Xerath, The Plight and Blakfish have been added to the line-up for Hellfire II.
  • Abigail Williams, currently winding down dates for the ongoing Conquered & Cursed Tour, have to sit out the final week of dates due to sickness within the band. The nine-week tour has seen the band, alongside Goatwhore, Daath, Abysmal Dawn and S.W.W.A.A.T.S. traveling the country all summer and the flu has battled them the entire way. Several members have had to visit emergency rooms in the past week and are under doctor supervision to regain their strength. The band extends apologies to fans they will not see in having to cancel their final performances. The band will resume touring in September when they hook up with God Dethroned for another run of US dates prior to breaking for the year. The band has already begun a work writing material for their sophomore release.
  • Rise Records have announced the signing of The Bled. The band is currently in their home state of Arizona recording their new album which will be released in early 2010. Look for them on tour with Alesana in September/October.
