posted October 31, 2008

  • Baeblemusic.com has new video of King Khan and the Shrines live at McCarren Park Pool this week. And to celebrate the release, they're giving away one 16" Sabian cymbal signed by all of King Khan and the Shrines.
  • WXPN's hosting 'All Philly Music Day' in honor of the World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies. WXPN will broadcast music by Philadelphia's favorite local artists all day on Friday, October 31 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Listeners can tune in to WXPN88.5 FM or online at www.XPN.org to celebrate the big win with music from Amos Lee, Hall and Oats, The Hooters, Dr. Dog and more. The 'All Philly Music Day' will include old and new music, concerts, WORLD CAFE(r) sessions and local recording sessions. Plus, a replay of an exclusive Y-Rock On XPN Radio Takeover with Shane Victorino.
  • Alt-rock pranksters Lustra have premiered their new video for "Scotty Doesn't Know (The Second Coming)" from upcoming album What You Need & What You Get on their MySpace. The video, set to the track of one of the band's most beloved songs, is pure Lustra, indicative of the band's distinctively naughty sense of humor. Posing as an inept moving crew, the four members proceed to playfully destroy an apartment - "breathing in real carcinogenic Fuller's earth and destroying perfectly good household appliances," says guitarist Nick Cloutman - in between performance shots in the wreckage. The video is further enhanced by side-splitting physical humor and a beautiful blonde.
  • Check out the acoustic set that The Ting Tings recorded when they stopped by Live Daily's studios in LA. Watch the band perform their singles "That's Not My Name," "Shut Up and Let Me Go" and "Great DJ."
  • ShockHound has announced that the site will celebrate its launch with a series of exclusive free shows in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco starting in early November by No Age and Titus Andronicus.
