  • The Knitting Factory has announced their new venue at 361 Metropolitan Avenue in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY will be opening September 2009. Brooklyn-based favorites Les Savy Fav will perform and host the opening night on Wednesday, September 9th.
  • After signing deals with labels based in New York and Japan, which never released the band's debut, Staten Island's Racing Exit 13 decided to just give it away before it would never see the light of day. Download their album now.
  • To celebrate Silversun Pickups' headlining tour dates this summer, Dangerbird Records is giving fans a chance to win tickets to every tour date from the label's Twitter account (@dangerbird).   • Academy Fight Song Records has announced its newest release, a re-issue of Copeland's 2003 debut, "Beneath Medicine Tree." Slated for a September 15th release date, only 500 copies of this limited-edition vinyl will be available: 100 - 180 gram BLACK (SOLD OUT), 200 - 150 gram COKE BOTTLE GREEN W/ BLACK SPLATTER, and 200 - 150 gram COKE BOTTLE GREEN. The LP will also include a spot gloss jacket and a 20-page full-color insert reminiscent of the original CD booklet.
  • My Dying Bride, Benediction, Bury Tomorrow, No Made Sense, Trigger The Bloodshed, Cinders Fall and Malefice have been added to the line-up for November's Hellfire II Festival.
