  • Neko Case's new album "Middle Cyclone" (Anti- Records) has debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200, the highest opening to date in 2009 by an independent release on Billboard's main album chart, and at #1 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart. Case will kick off a national tour March 31 at Stubb's BBQ in Austin, TX, and she is scheduled to perform on The Late Show with David Letterman on CBS on April 15. Case's last album, 2006's 'Fox Confessor Brings The Flood' debuted at #52 on the Billboard Top 200.
  • Lipona are offering their latest EP, Pigeonholed, as a free digital download, along with the artwork, lyrics and liner notes. Says the band, "This album has marked a new direction and we think this might be some of the best work we've ever done. It's faster, more technical and has a more refined sound. Whereas Atlas was an introspective album, Pigeonholed is the opposite - the subject matter revolves around the current political climate and how we've all been dealing with the instability going on in the world." Lipona will self-release a 12-inch vinyl version of Pigeonholed in May. The LP will contain a bonus 6th song as well. Additionally, the band will be touring the US in support of the record in the upcoming months.
  • Annabel have signed with up-and-coming indie Count Your Lucky Stars for the release of their debut full-length, Each And Everyone. To celebrate the recent release, the band has shot a video for "People And Places" and are also offering a free download of "Sleeping Lions."
