Quick Hits & Clips: Rev Theory, Farflung, Vetiver

• With the incredible response to Rev Theory's new video for "Light It Up," the band has decided to launch a video contest for their fans. Each fan now has the opportunity to create their own music video for "Light It Up," have it selected by the band and become one of three videos placed on their YouTube page. After they are posted, fans will have two weeks to vote on which they think is the best. The winner will receive a Rev Theory prize package with a signed guitar and more from the band. • Farflung has been confirmed to play Walter's Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Netherlands, in April 2009. The show will be at The Batcave on the 23rd - with Amon Duul 2 and White Hills. Says vocalist Tommy Grenas, "It is a great honor not only to play the festival but also to perform with one of our biggest influences in space rock, Amon Duul 2, and our good friends White Hills. It will be a melting eve of psychedelic space rock, and eye shaking visuals! All the guys in Farflung hope that the folks who haunt StonerRock.com will be able to drop in and enjoy the evening with us." The band will also be playing a series of dates in Holland, Germany, and more TBA, which will be announced soon.
• Newly-signed-to-Sub Pop artist Vetiver will release their upcoming album Tight Knit on February 17, 2009. To hold fans over until next month, Sub Pop has released a track is called "Everyday" for free download.
