  • Set to be released today, White is the self-titled debut album from one of the most talked about bands to emerge from the Beijing underground in recent years. Produced by Blixa Bargeld at Einstürzende Neubauten studios in Berlin, White is the starting point for a more widespread recognition of new music from China, and sets the benchmark for all others who follow. White is being released on the OpenNote label, distributed in the US by Ryko.

  • Struck By Lightning has posted the new tracks "The Watchful Eye" and "Nothing Sacred," from their Translation Loss Records debut release entitled "Serpents" due out today, on their MySpace page. "Serpents" was recorded at Red Room in Seattle, WA by Chris Common (Pelican, Mouth Of The Architect, These Arms Are Snakes), mastered by Nick Zampiello at New Alliance East (Bloodhorse, Battlefields, Pelican) and features artwork by Ryan Patterson of Coliseum/Auxiliary Design. The band also features Greg Lahm, previously of Mouth Of The Architect.
  • Nike has teamed up with Sub Pop Records to create a new quick strike SB. The shoe was made to go along with the Sub Pop Single Club 3.0s first release Gebel Barkal b/w (Version) from the band OM.
  • Southern California's psych-tinged garage rockers The Willowz, are pushing back the release date of their new album "Everyone" (Dim Mak/Downtown Records) to November 17th.
