  • Codeine Velvet Club, the new musical project from The Fratellis' Jon Lawler and singer/songwriter Lou Hickey, will release their self-titled US debut April 6th on Dangerbird Records.
  • Brian Posehn's "Fart And Wiener Jokes" will include two musical tracks, "More Metal Than You" and a cover of the Kenny Rogers classic "The Gambler." Posehn recorded these songs with the help of a number of "metal" all-stars including Scott Ian (Anthrax), Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed, Kingdom Of Sorrow), Mark Morton (Lamb Of God), John Tempesta (Exodus, The Cult), Russ Parrish (Steel Panther), and more. "Fart And Wiener Jokes" is set for an April 27th North American release date, May 3rd internationally.
  • Rammstein guitarist Richard Kruspe recently sat down for an exclusive video interview with MySpace. The six minute video is interspersed with clips from the band's latest videos, behind-the-scenes shots, and footage from the band's first of four sold-out Berlin shows in late December in front of over 17,000 fans at the famed Velodrom.
  • Sacred Mother Tongue have announced that their album "The Ruin Of Man" will have a full release in France on March 3, 2010. The album will be distributed by La Baleine. Sacred Mother Tongue are currently holed up in the studio working on their second and even more hotly anticipated album which will be completed in the latter half of 2010.
  • Portland's YACHT previously announced that for the first time in their history they'll be hitting the road with a backing band, who they've lovingly named The Straight Gaze. Get your first taste of what YACHT sounds like with live accompaniment via their new iTunes session in the studio with The Mystery Lights Band. The session features three tracks from last year's critically acclaimed full-length, See Mystery Lights, as well as a cover of Weezer's song "Holiday." Fun fact: Back in high school YACHT's Claire L. Evans ran Geekrocklove, one of the most popular Weezer fansites at the time. Stream "Holiday" for free now.
