  • Diamond Rings has released his newest music video. Directed my Jeff Scheven, "It's Not My Party" explores new territory for John O' as he showcases a darker side of Diamond Rings while continuing to blur gender boundaries. This marks the fifth official video for Diamond Rings, and fourth to feature a song from his debut album, "Special Affections."
  • Architecture in Helsinki have released the surreal video for their new single "Contact High." Featuring sexually-charged, disembodied limbs and moving photographs, among other tripped out visuals, the video has a lovably absurdist bent. It's the band first full-length since 2007's acclaimed "Places Like This" and they will be kicking off a US tour in June.
  • Zombi has premiered the first preview track, "Shrunken Heads," off their forthcoming album "Escape Velocity" via Stereogum.com. "Escape Velocity" is set for a May 10th North American release date and will be available on CD (pre-order here), LP, and digitally.
  • Yellowbirds' new stop-motion, collage-animation video for the song "The Rest Of My Life" was crafted by Sam Cohen from nearly 3000 still photos assembled into collages and animated by hand. Between exploring images, cutting and compiling, creating the scenes and editing the footage, the project took ten weeks to complete.
  • American Laundromat Records have announced their newest tribute compilation: "Please, Please, Please: a tribute to The Smiths." The CD will feature newly-recorded covers by The Wedding Present, Greg Laswell, Doug Martsch (Built To Spill), William Fitzsimmons, Trespassers William, The Rest, The Leisure Society, Joy Zipper, Katy Goodman (La Sera, Vivian Girls), Tanya Donelly, and many other outstanding artists.
