  • Mark your calendars. The Dillinger Escape Plan will premiere their new music video for "Farewell, Mona Lisa" on Monday, March 1st at 4pm-5pm EST on Justin.tv. Sign up for an account with the site and you can chat with the band live.
  • Santa Monica College has announce that Jennifer Ferro, who currently serves as Assistant General Manager of public radio station KCRW 89.9 FM and www.KCRW.com, has been named the new General Manager of the renowned station. The SMC Board of Trustees approved the selection of Ferro, who begins in her new position March 1. Ferro succeeds Ruth Seymour, who is retired February 26 after running KCRW for 32 years and building it into a powerhouse National Public Radio affiliate with a global audience.
  • Passion Pit have released the official video for "Little Secrets," directed by Timothy Saccenti.
  • Relapse Records has announced the signing of the newly formed The High Confessions. The High Confessions features Chris Connelly (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Killing Joke), Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth), Sanford Parker (Minsk, Nachtmystium, Buried At Sea), and noted recording engineer Jeremy Lemos (Smog, Stereolab, Jim O'Rourke). The High Confessions will release their Relapse debut, "Turning Lead Into Gold With The High Confessions," this summer.
  • 20-year-old French indie popper Sliimy (Yanis Sahraoui) will also be arriving stateside for SXSW with a showcase March 18th at The Aquarium. His debut album, "Paint Your Face," is out now.
