  • Free Energy will headline a Philadelphia local artist showcase put on by MAD Dragon records on March 3rd at The Mandell Theater (33rd & Chestnut) at 7pm. The showcase will feature a bevy of local Philadelphia talent including The Spinning Leaves, Hezekiah Jones, Toy Soldiers, and Kuf Knotz.
  • The Dwarves will celebrate their 25th anniversary with the release of their new album "Are Born Again," to be released on May 3 as a deluxe CD or vinyl package (with bonus DVD).
  • The Walkmen recently premiered music videos for "While I Shovel the Snow," a track off the band's crtically acclaimed Fat Possum Records release "Lisbon," and album b-side "Orange Sunday." The video for "While I Shovel the Snow" was directed by Jake Davis while the "Orange Sunday" video was directed by Bruno Levy who previously directed the band's "Four Provinces" video. Both are available at www.thewalkmen.com along with free downloads of both tracks.
  • Stereogum.com is offering the public a first listen to "Transplant Of Dimensional Recourse," the opening track off of black metal horde Pale Chalice's upcoming debut EP, "Afflicting The Dichotomy Of Trepid Creation."
  • Check out a stream of Poly Styrene's "Virtual Boyfriend" (CREEP remix). CREEP are Brooklyn based producers/ DJs Lauren Flax and Lauren Dillard. Lauren Flax is an internationally renowned house DJ and producer.
