- LA songwriter Juliette Commagere has a brand new video for her song "Berceuse," the second to be released off of her lauded full-length debut, "Queens Die Proudly" (Aeronaut Records), after "The Nature of Things." The video is directed by Aran Reo Mann (Bonnie Prince Billy, The Chapin Sisters). Shot completely at night with an infrared camera, it features Commagere and professional free surfer Hans Hagen taking on an extremely otherworldy ocean.
- Brooklyn's The Art Of Shooting are offering the first video from their new album, "Traveling Show," with "Japanese." The dreamy cut is a third-person omniscient narrative of one's self-imposed prisons that seem easy to escape to others, yet are horribly crippling from within. Directed by Brooklyn filmmaker Scott Clemens, who's worked with Scout Niblett and Patrick Bower & the World Without Magic, "Japanese" shows the protagonist engulfing herself in a cocoon of string until a friend easily breaks away the barriers she created within herself.

- Swedish black metallers Arckanum recently inked a deal with Regain Records. Stated Shamaatae of the union: "It feels really good to work with Regain Records. The new Arckanum album 'Sviga Læ' is a dedication to Surtr; Giant and Ruler of the world of flames Múspellzheimr, and Loki, the Flaming Giant and Archenemy of the worlds. 'Sviga Læ' is a manifestation of the blazing Chaos and the burning of the gods." "Sviga Læ" is Arckanum's sixth full-length and is slated for release later this year.
- Check out The Dandy Warhols' animated new music video for "Welcome To The Third World." The video was directed by Webster Colcord (a colleague of SNL TV Funhouse's Robert Zemekis) and C. Taylor, with skeletons by artist Dan Berry. "Welcome to the Third World" is off 2008's Beat The World release "Earth To The Dandy Warhols."
