  • Jazzy post-rock trio Motion Turns It On were featured on the latest episode of the online music show Live From SugarHill Studios. MTIO's set starts at 31:30. The show is available as an iTunes podcast and is streaming at Youtube and SugarHill's website.
  • Rifoki have just unleashed their video for "Zombie Attack," from their debut EP, "Sperm Donor." Rifoki is a new project from prominent DJ and Dim Mak Records founder Steve Aoki and his partner-in-crime Sir Cornelius Bob Rifo, the mastermind behind The Bloody Beetroots.
  • Kill Hannah frontman Mat Devine has responded on his blog (and with a remix video) to a YouTube video calling the band a "fag band."
  • Gentleman Reg has released a new video for his cover of Stevie Nicks' "Wild Heart." The video was shot in February in Toronto by director Colin Medley (Diamond Rings), and is a shot-for-shot remake of Nicks' video footage from a 1983 Rolling Stone photo shoot. Gentleman Reg used this backstage footage as the base of his cover, released last December on the "Heavy Head" EP. Along with Reg, as Nicks, the video features Gentleman Reg keyboardist, Kelly McMichael and drummer, Dana Snell.
  • In anticipation of the April 27th release of their Raw Power Deluxe Edition package, Iggy and the Stooges have released a clip taken from the documentary "Search and Destroy: Iggy and the Stooges' Raw Power." The clip talks about the creative process behind the classic track "Penetration." Iggy recalls hearing the iconic riff for the first time: "He [James] played me the riff to penetration.....and from that riff I was building fugues." Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr shares his recollection of hearing the song for the first time: "As a guitar riff it's brilliant, and the vocal is just mysterious, sort of like a message from an alluring underworld."
