  • Fops, the new superduo featuring Thee More Shallows singer Dee Kesler and Ral Partha Vogalbacher lyricist Chadwick Donald Bidwell have released the first video from their debut album, "Yeth, Yeth, Yeth." The clip is for the song "Yellow Jacket Corpse."
  • Bassologist James LoMenzo (former Megadeth/Black Label Society) will take the slot of Billy Sheehan at the Marky Ramone Charity Concert. Sheehan regrets that he must pull out due to unforeseen commitments in Europe and sends his apologies to all. "I'm a real big fan of the Ramones and this was unexpected. Good luck on this amazing concert!"
  • WXPN is gearing up for "Be Our Hero" Fall Fund Drive campaign. This year's 885 Countdown will run from October 11-15 and play the top 885 songs that make listeners want to hit the road. If the station can reach its goal prior to October 11th, the Countdown will play without the Fall Fund Drive. Listeners who pledge five dollars a month or more will receive the I'm an XPN Superhero­ t-shirt. The station has already raised $152,000 toward its goal of $640,000 through pre-drive fundraising.
