Quick Hits: Superhuman Happiness, Ringo Deathstarr, Acid House Kings, Fredrik, Monstr0

  • Superhuman Happiness has just unveiled a video for "The Hounds," the track from side two of their new 45/digital single ("GMYL"/"The Hounds") out now on Electric Cowbell Records.
  • Ringo Deathstarr have released two new videos for the songs "Two Girls" and "Kaleidoscope." The self-made videos encompass everything the band is, loud, fuzzy and dream-like, as evidenced on their new full-length album "Colour Trip."
  • Acid House Kings has been quite busy having just dropped their first album in six years, "Music Sounds Better With You," in addition to revealing their new video for "Would You Say Stop?" In addition, the band played two tracks ("Would You Say Stop?," "Under Water") live on Sweden's largest morning program, Nyhetsmorgon, last week marking Acid House Kings' first live performance since their US tour in 2006.
  • Swedish electronic trio Fredrik was featured last week on the front page of YouTube for the video stream of their full length album, "Flora." Edited by Fredrik's O. Lindefelt, the camera lens softly follows a wolf figurine into the woodsy terrain of the band's scenic hometown of Malmö.
  • MonstrO, the highly pedigreed atmospheric hard rock four-piece from Atlanta, Georgia, have signed with Vagrant Records to release their debut album. Formed in early 2009, MonstrO is bassist Kyle Sanders (Bloodsimple), drummer Bevan Davies (Bloodsimple, Danzig), guitarist Juan Montoya (Torche) and vocalist/guitarist Charlie Suarez. MonstrO recently entered a studio in Atlanta with producer (and Alice in Chains vocalist) William DuVall.
