  • Denmark Records has released a new compilation, DenFriends, for free. The compilation features southeastern electronic music featuring 19 artists from Maryland to Mississippi.
  • Check out the video for PJ Harvey's "The Last Living Rose" off of her upcoming album "Let England Shake" (available February 15 on Vagrant). The video was directed by the award-winning photographer Seamus Murphy, who has directed series of videos to accompany all 12 songs on "Let England Shake."
  • JFK of MSTRKRFT fame will perform at Chicago's newest live music venue and nightclub, The Mid, on Friday, January 7 - the first of weekly parties "Mayhem at The Mid." JFK, or Jesse Frederick Keeler, one half of Canadian electronic duo MSTRKRFT, has come from punk rock roots, with his former band Death From Above 1979. His live sets have included his own remixes of Bloc Party and Chicago's own Kid Sister.
  • Beirut, Elbow, Friendly Fires and Tinie Tempah are the latest confirmations of FIB 2011's Lineup with already confirmed bands Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Portishead, The Strokes and Primal Scream. FIB 2011 will take place in Benicassim's concert venue from July 14th-17th.
