  • San Francisco's punk/thrash veterans Walken will take the stage in their hometown this Sunday evening, opening for Hammers of Misfortune and the almighty Saint Vitus. The all-ages festivities shall be held at the DNA Lounge and kick off at 7pm. This will be Walken's first live show since opening for Death Angel in December.
  • The second episode of Devo's "reality show" is now up on their YouTube. If you haven't watched the show yet, it's a look at the making of their album and its marketing. Episodes are only about 5 minutes long.
  • Friction Records has announced the new release from Grand Rapids, Michigan's Charles The Osprey. The band's debut full-length, "Consider," is due out June 29th on the Michigan-based label and is now availble for pre-order. Limited to 500, Friction is pressing the 12" LP on orange (250) and army green (250) vinyl, each of which will include a free digital download.
  • No Sleep Records has welcomed Albany, NY's own Aficionado to the family. Drawing influence from an array of bands ranging from At the Drive-In, to Cursive, to the Hold Steady, Aficionado has a developed a unique style they are happy to call their own. With roots in punk music, the band mixes organ, flute, and occasional horn arrangements into it's unorthodox blend of post-punk. The bands No Sleep debut EP "When It Comes To Creation" is produced by the legendary Don Fury (Bayside, Judge, Quicksand) and will be In Stores and Online this fall.
